San Francisco Environment Department

The San Francisco Environment Department is hiring for two impactful positions addressing greenhouse gasses from buildings, including future construction.

Building Decarbonization Coordinator – This position will help advance programs, policies and partnerships to reduce and ultimately eliminate, operational emissions from buildings. The deadline to apply is December 19, 2022.

The salary range is $95,550- $116,142 per year.

The position requires the equivalent of a baccalaureate degree (four years of college education) and two years of experience. Benefits include a flexible schedule, hybrid work location (partially remote), and full benefits (health/dental/vision, paid leave, retirement, etc. – more info here).

Senior Building Decarbonization Coordinator – This position will project manage greenhouse gas reduction in new building construction and building renovations, as part of the San Francisco Climate Action Plan. The deadline to apply is December 19, 2022.

The salary range is $111,716 - $135,148 per year.

The position requires the equivalent of a baccalaureate degree (four years of college education) and four years of experience. Benefits include a flexible schedule, hybrid work location (partially remote), and full benefits (health/dental/vision, paid leave, retirement, etc. – more info here).

Calling aspiring transportation planners and engineers!

San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) is currently accepting applications for the summer internship program through Monday, January 9, 2023. Gain valuable on-the-job experience under the guidance of experienced transportation professionals.

Interns will participate in transportation planning and engineering activities including:

  • Plan, design, and implement bicycle, pedestrian, safety, or complete streets projects
  • Transit planning for Muni, the City of San Francisco’s transit agency
  • Perform community outreach and engagement
  • Attend field trips and seminars to learn about various teams within the agency
