Zhaoshuo Jiang Named CSU STEM-NET Fellow

Dr. Zhaoshuo Jiang, an associate professor in the School of Engineering, was awarded the AY 2022-2023 California State University STEM-NET Fellows Grant. The goal of the grant is to support and encourage the development of a strong program of research or scholarship by faculty members in STEM fields. STEM-NET Fellows awards help fund activity that supports the submission of large external grants aligned with STEM-NET's mission and help further the vision. Faculty will be compensated for three (3) semester units (AWTU) for each semester, Fall 2022 and Spring 2023, and a summer 2022 stipend of $5,000.

As the sole SFSU recipient of this by-nomination-only award, Dr. Jiang is recognized for his outstanding scholarship and the ability to establish strong research programs through building cross-CSU research collaborations. In Dr. Jiang’s own words, “being a STEM-NET faculty fellow will unfold exciting opportunities to enhance multi-campus collaboration to transform the future of STEM teaching and learning. I look forward to learning from and collaborating with my colleagues across the CSU to develop convergent research and educational opportunity for students and to advance a diverse and inclusive workforce to respond to the changing world.”
