Biography
Dr. Teh joined San Francisco State University (SFSU) in 2006 and teaches courses in engineering materials and MEMS. His prior work experiences spanned both the technical and commercial fields, in which he assumed the roles as: a management consultant for a top-tiered strategy consulting firm, a thin film materials engineer at a premier industrial research laboratory, and a design/project engineer at an offshore engineering firm. His primary research interests are in MEMS and sensors materials, specifically in the direct-write synthesis, characterization, and applications of metal oxides, conductive polymer, and low dimensional carbon nanostructures for energy generation and storage.
Hobbies
Dr. Teh enjoys learning (thru reading books, news, maps, listening to inspiring podcasts), making and sharing food with family and friends, watching food channels, fixing or improving household items (sometimes with the help of Youtube), watching and playing sports with his kids (walking, running, football, basketball, ping pong), walking on the beach, swimming in the ocean, playing card games (like Uno and Charades), listening and singing jazz, pop and oldies (70s-00s), watching slapstick comedies and exploring the world, among many others.
