Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) @ SFSU
IEEE's core purpose is to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. IEEE at SF State is a student chapter of IEEE, an international organization, and in addition to embodying the main principle of the international chapter, IEEE at SF State fosters the study of electrical and computer engineering. Golden Gate Racing - SAE
Golden Gate Racing - SAE is uniquely positioned to design and manufacture a vehicle without any predecessors which affords us the opportunity to create a completely bespoke race car that will showcase our true ability! Once we compete for the first time, we hope to grow our small grassroots program to benefit additional SF State students, to augment their practical engineering knowledge, build their budgeting, communication, project management, and resource management skills in preparation for their careers.

Rapid Prototyping Lab (RPL)
The Rapid Prototyping Lab (RPL) in SCI 109 is a student-led makerspace available to all SFSU Engineering students. The RPL offers 3D printing, CAD programs (including SolidWorks and Fusion 360), other manufacturing tools, and training for students to use for class projects and Sr. Design. Since it is completely student-run, the RPL is always looking for Superusers (student volunteers) to help us run the lab! Drop by SCI 109 or send us an email for more information!

Engineering Design Club (EDC)
The Engineering Design Club (EDC) is a new student organization that aims to provide robotics, design, and controls engineering experience to students through project and collaboration opportunities. The EDC strives to bring small groups of students together to work on the design and construction of prosthetics. Our goal is to create affordable, open-source alternatives for amputees while growing our skills as engineers!

SF Hacks
Our organization’s purpose is to plan and host California’s most talented collegiate hackers, designers, and developers, in a 24-hour hackathon. SF Hacks constitutes divergence, an inclusive place that helps people fit in and feel safe, and we help discover what innovative technology has to offer. We work towards giving students an environment for maximum innovation, collaboration, and education.
