Biography

Dr. Zhu graduated from University of Nevada, Reno in 2010 with a Ph.D. degree in Atmospheric Science. Dr. Zhu has 11 years research experience in air quality studies.  Research interests include measurement of PM emissions from vehicle suspended road dust, characteristics of trace gas pollutants and PM from mobile and stationary sources, and effects of roughness elements on near source dust transport and deposition.  Dr. Zhu joined San Francisco State University in Spring 2019 as a part-time faculty, teaching ENGR 866 Air Quality Engineering. Currently he is a Senior Air Quality Engineer at the Bay Area Air Quality Management District.
