Dr. Jiang and his students in the School of Engineering recently has been funded by the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) to design innovative analog circuit system for future generation neural-network computing processor that embeds with the state-of-art nano devices. The bio-inspired neural-networks are the heart of the promising artificial intelligence (AI) technology. High-efficiency, low-power and small size neural-network computing processor, which Dr. Jiang and his students have been working on, could enable large-scale ubiquitous deployment of AI technology. The award is $157K for three years.
