Eligibility
The local chapters of ASM International and SAMPE are sponsoring two scholarship awards of $2,000 each to applicants from local colleges and universities and programs with materials technology programs or concentrations. These awards are open to Undergraduate Students only. The awards will be presented at the ASM-SAMPE joint meeting on April 15, 2020 (attendance is not required).
Applications
To apply for the award, students must submit a one-page resume, a copy of their transcripts (or complete, grade records - "unofficial" copies from the Registrar will be acceptable)
from all colleges attended, a one-page essay detailing their career and educational goals in materials technology and any industry or leadership experience they have had contributing to them, and one or more letters of recommendation from faculty or employers.
Selection Criteria
Selection will be based on the student's demonstrated accomplishments, potential, and commitment to a materials-related career.
