School of Engineering

Program Overview

The School of Engineering at San Francisco State University (SFSU) is focused on educating students to become productive and knowledgeable members of the engineering profession, and society at large. Graduates from SFSU's engineering programs will have the analytical and technical abilities necessary to work in the profession of engineering, while being cognizant of their role as future professional engineers working for the general benefit of society.

"Producing Industry-Ready Engineers" is the mission of the School of Engineering. Extensive hands-on laboratory experience is integrated into the curricula to reinforce classroom learning. Communication skills are also emphasized throughout the curriculum to provide a competitive edge to graduates.
