Synopsys Charles Babbage University Grant Ceremony

On Fri Nov 5th (1:30pm to 3:30pm in SCI 256 and 3:30pm to 4:30pm in SCI 110), the School of Engineering will host a ceremony for recognition of the recent Charles Babbage University grant offered by Synopsys Inc, which provides the School of Engineering with the computational resources and state-of-the-art Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools for integration in research and teaching activities. The ceremony begins at 1:30pm with a keynote talk by Don Chan, VP of Synopsys Application Engineering, followed by the presentation of the Charles Babbage award and the opening ceremony for the nano-electronics and computing research laboratory, established using the Charles Babbage grant. The keynote talk is followed by the award announcement and student presentations on curricular and research activities using Synopsys EDA tools. The ceremony will be continued with the opening of the research lab and reception from 3:30pm to 4:30pm in SCI 110. Please check the flyer and the agenda for detailed schedule of the event.
