Robotic Competition

Robotic LessonsEach year San Francisco State University (SF State), Society of American Military Engineers' Charles J. Nicholas Scholarship Trust, Gannon Foundation, Bay Area Engineers Council, and Engineers Club of San Francisco plan special activities called "Students Committed to Engineering Excellence". In conjunction with Engineers Week to acquaint high school students with engineering experiences, the program includes a robotics' competitions, Robotic Competition awards luncheon, lectures, and lab tours to be held at San Francisco State University.

This event will be held on Friday, February 29, 2008

Robotic Competition will be at Jack Adams Hall, at SF State's Cesar Chavez Student Center. The competition will start at 9:30 am. Top three winning teams will receive cash prizes ($300, $200, and $100) and trophies to honor their accomplishments.

We are now inviting your science teacher to nominate your school's teams for the Robotic competition. Each high school might register one or more teams for our Robotic Competition. Registration form should be received by me at the address below no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2007.

Once we receive the registration form, we will send you on a first come first serve basis a pre-prepared robotic building kit for students to build a functional robot to participate in our Robotic Competition and provide training for assembling the robotic kits.
