Mission
To educate students, from a diverse and multicultural population, to become productive members of the engineering profession and society at large.
Objectives and Student Learning Outcomes
Objective A:
Graduates from the engineering programs will have the analytical and technical abilities necessary to work effectively in the profession of engineering.
- A.1. Graduates will have the ability to utilize advanced mathematics, general scientific principles, and computer applications for solving practical engineering problems. (Corresponds to EAC2005 Criterion a)
- A.2. Graduates will have the ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems. (Corresponds to EAC2005 Criterion e)
- A.3. Graduates will have the ability to conduct experiments and interpret and analyze data. (Corresponds to EAC2005 Criterion b)
- A.4. Graduates will have the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams. (Corresponds to EAC2005 Criterion d)
- A.5. Graduates will have the ability to present technical information clearly in both oral and written formats. (Corresponds to EAC2005 Criterion g)

Objective B:
Graduates from the engineering programs will be prepared for their field of specialty and will be informed of recent technical advances in their field.
- B.1. Graduates will have the ability to analyze and design systems, components, or processes relevant to their field of specialty. (Corresponds to EAC2005 Criterion c)
- B.2. Graduates will have the ability to design and conduct experiments and/or field investigations; and analyze and interpret data in their field of specialty. (Corresponds to EAC2005 Criterion b)
- B.3. Graduates will have the ability to use modern engineering tools, software, and instrumentation through hands-on experience relevant to the field of specialty. (Corresponds to EAC2005 Criterion k)
- B.4. Graduates will have the ability to engage in life-long learning in their field of specialty. (Corresponds to EAC2005 Criterion i)

Graduates from the engineering programs will be cognizant of societal issues and their role as future professional engineers working for the general benefit of society.
- C.1. Graduates will have an awareness of the impact of engineering solutions in a global and societal context. (Corresponds to EAC2005 Criterion h)
- C.2. Graduates will have an awareness of contemporary issues and their relationship to engineering. (Corresponds to EAC2005 Criterion j)
