Biography
Ozkan Celik joined San Francisco State University in August 2011 as an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering. He was a research and teaching assistant in the Mechatronics and Haptic Interfaces (MAHI) Lab in the department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Rice University between 2006 and 2011. His research interests include mechatronics, robotics, haptics and system identification, particularly as applied to human sensorimotor control system modeling, robotic rehabilitation of motor-impaired patients and motor adaptation and learning in humans. He was a recipient of the Best Paper Award at IEEE World Haptics Conference in 2011 (WHC 2011) and of a young researcher travel award at IEEE International Conference on Rehabilitation Robotics in 2009 (ICORR 2009).
