Dr. V.V. Krishnan



Dr. Krishnan received his B.Tech (Hons). and M.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, in Mechanical Engineering. He joined San Francisco State University in 1970 and is a professor of Mechanical Engineering in the School of Engineering. His teaching areas are Control Systems and Experimental Methods. He has extensive interest in fields outside of engineering, and his research focuses mainly on modeling of biological systems, bioengineering, system simulation, and applications of fuzzy systems analysis in decision-making. Dr. Krishnan likes the diversity of the student body at SFSU and derives great pleasure from his teaching and interactions with students and, in particular, enjoys his role as an advisor to engineering majors. Dr. Krishnan is a member of ASME, IEEE, ASEE and ISA.
